Helping our friends in Louisiana

CCHT will be heading to Louisiana next Friday (Sept 11th) to provide hurricane relief supplies for our neighbors in Lake Charles. We're partnering with the Cajun Army and will be taking items they have specifically requested as being priority needs. We'll also be including information on trafficking risks.

Although we are a Texas-based organization, our sister State needs our help. As the risk of being trafficked increases with a natural disaster, we want to help ensure we do everything to protect our friends and help prevent trafficking-both labor and sex (sometimes you just have to expand outside your normal boundaries).

We are hoping to fill a trailer (Thank you Sugar Land Baptist Church for the use of the trailer)! We'll collect up until next WEDNESDAY, SEPT 9TH.

Want to help? Here's how you can:

1. Order online and have shipped directly to: CCHT 2209 County Road 467 Wharton, TX 77488 (Be sure packages will arrive to us by Sept 9th at the latest)

2.  Supplies can be dropped off at Sugar Land Baptist Church (16755 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land 77479) between 8a-5p Monday-Friday.

3. Make a donation on our website-click on the "How to help" tab (mark it for "Hurricane Laura relief supplies" ) and we'll purchase the supplies.

Here is the list of items specifically requested as high priority needs (we will ONLY be taking these specific items):

1. Tarps

2. Extension cords

3. Box Fans

4. Flashlights and batteries

5. Powerade/Gatorade (water is not needed) Drinks with electrolytes/sugar are needed

6. First Aid Kits

7. Body Wipes (no way for many to shower)

8. Roofing nails

9. Duct tape

10. Utility knives

11. Chain saws

12. Heavy Duty large contractor trash bags (need to be the heavy duty bags for debris/trash)

Thank you! Let's fill that trailer!!
